SCENT 2026 Intimate Event Series

SCENT 2026 is a bi-monthly live music series powered by Shifting Culture Entertainment, designed to blend live concerts, album listening experiences, open mic showcases, and producer–artist matchmaking in Vancouver. Each edition is curated around a unique sensory-inspired theme — from Incense (New Beginnings) to Frankincense (Reflection & Legacy) creating intimate, immersive, and collaborative spaces for artists, producers, and music lovers. SCENT isn’t just another Event; it’s a platform to spark collaborations, launch careers, and build community within the evolving Canadian music scene.

Core Elements:

  1. Bi-Monthly Event Series – Six uniquely themed editions (Incense, Rosewood, Cedar, Citrus, Musk, Frankincense).

  2. Live Intimate Concerts – Curated performances across genres (R&B, Soul, Afrobeats, Experimental, and more).

  3. Album Listening Parties – Exclusive previews and artist storytelling sessions.

The African Heritage Festival of Music and Dance (AHFOMAD) 2026

The African Heritage Festival of Music and Dance (AHFOMAD) is a vibrant celebration of arts, music, and cultural as well as contemporary dance, rooted in the African Canadian experience. Showcasing performers from local, national, and international stages across Africa and the Americas, the festival highlights the creativity and diversity of the African diaspora.

Showcasing performers from local, national, and international stages across Africa and the Americas, the festival highlights the creativity and diversity of the African diaspora.

Organized by the African Heritage Music and Dance Society (AHMDS), a registered nonprofit organization in British Columbia, AHFOMAD continues to serve as a platform for cultural exchange, artistic excellence, and community connection.

The 2026 AHFOMAD Festival will take place over three days, September 4–6, 2026, bringing together world-renowned international artists with emerging and established Canadian talent. Beyond the performances, festival-goers can enjoy interactive workshops, dynamic pop-up markets, and countless opportunities for meaningful social connection.

Country in BC is a live music discovery series designed to shine a spotlight on rising country music artists across British Columbia. The event series creates a professional platform that blends live performances, storytelling, and cultural experiences bridging the gap between emerging talent, brand partners, and country music fans. Hosted in rotating cities and towns, Country in BC aims to grow into a recognized stage for homegrown talent, while bringing communities together through music, partnerships, and authentic Canadian country culture.

Core Elements:

  1. Live Music Showcases – Quarterly curated events featuring 3–5 rising artists and one headline act per edition.

  2. Artist Discovery Segment – Spotlighting a new, unsigned artist at each event to support career growth.

  3. Beer Partner Activations – Integrating local or national beer brands with experiential on-site promotions.

  4. Radio & Media Partnerships – Leveraging local country radio stations and media houses to boost visibility.

  5. Audience Engagement – Interactive voting and fan experiences that give the audience a voice in the show.
