Obed Psych is a singer, rapper, songwriter and record producer based in Vancouver, Canada. His music fuses Pop, Hip Hop and African rhythms to create music that inspires listeners.
Obed Psych has performed from intimate to major shows in Canada and as lead singer of the multiple award-winning group Preachers, Obed has performed on massive stages in Ghana, Kenya and South Africa which establishes him as an experienced performer and talented musician.
His music is deeply rooted in his faith, culture, and roots. Obed’s debut EP, “Winpang,” was released in 2022 and features six tracks written in his native language, Kusaal. The project has received critical acclaim and won awards at the Upper East Music Awards, including Rapper of the Year and Record of the Year.
In addition to his work with Preachers, Obed has also been a judge for the University Gospel Choir of the Year competition which was aired on national television in Ghana.
